Its main features are to build your own village, training your army, having a clan and having clan wars. There are several other attractive features in the game including single player battles,friendly challenges and league bonuses. There are an infinite numbers of things to do on the game so for all those newbies here is a list of things you shouldn't be doing as a new member on Clash of Clans.
1. Do not use your Gems:
Gems are the virtual currency used in the game. Gems can be used to speed up upgrades, buying resources and the most importantly builders. You're provided with 500 gems at the start out of which 250 are spent to buy your second builder. More gems can be earned by clearing obstacles and completing achievements. There are a total of 5 builders which can be unlocked only by using gems. You require 500 gems for your third builder, 1000 for fourth and 2000 for fifth builder.
Builders are very important for the right progress in the game so if you spend your gems on things other than buying your builders you'll surely be going down the wrong road. So tip number one for all the new players is that do not spend your gems on anything other than gems till the time you unlock all of your five builders.
2. Do not upgrade your Townhall:
New users are usually very impatient because they their fellow gamers making progress or want to compete with the best in the world so they keep upgrading their townhalls without properly upgrading all of their buildings. Such users suffer the most because their base/town is weaker than other players who have properly upgraded bases. Thus when other players attack their base they easily destroy the whole village and win multiplayer battles.
To avoid this all, upgrade your townhall at the right time when you have fully upgraded all your buildings including resource buildings, army buildings, defenses and troops.
3. Do not make a New Clan.
Another thing which is very common in new users is that after rebuilding their Clan Castles they usually opt for making their own clans which most of the time fail. As a new member, rather than making your new clan and becoming the leader of it, try finding a stable clan with friendly members who donate good troops to their clan mates. This not only helps you climb the ladder of success but also gives your battles a boost. People who join stable clans in the start make progress faster than those who make their own clans. The best time to make a new clan is when you are at least Townhall 8. For starters you can join this clan :
4. Do not beg for Promotions
Most of the time new players after joining a clan start begging their clan leaders and co leaders for promotions. This is a very wrong thing to do. Usually, all clans have a specific set of rules which you are supposed to follow and a list of things you need to do for promotion. First thing you should do is read the rules and follow them. Do not abuse other members of your clan in your clan chat as this will lead to you being kicked out of the clan so it would be better to follow the rules.
5. Do not use any kind of Cheats
The most common thing in all of the new members is that they try to find cheats for the game, what they don't understand is that there are no cheats available for Clash of Clans on the internet and all of the websites which claim to give you unlimited resources are FAKE.
These websites ask for your Email and password and then they scam you. They never give you any resources even if you pay for them!
Other things which are also considered as cheats is "XMOD". Do not use it. Clash of Clan staff has clearly banned the use of this and bans anyone who uses this.
Try playing a fair game or else any kind of cheats will only get your account permanently blocked!
